This dress made me feel so special on my wedding day! I received so many compliments - people loved its old Hollywood elegance.
Romantic ivory silk taffeta gown with washed silk organza hand-embroidered v-neck bodice, capped sleeves, and full skirt with pockets. Sheer floral lace covers the full-back for a modest but flirty look. The top is scattered with dainty, clear sequins for the perfect sparkle. Features covered buttons on the back empire band and a chapel train.
I fell in love with the dress for its:
- Flattering fit & flare style - no shapewear needed, no rigorous pre-wedding workouts in order to fit into it :).
- Hidden kangaroo POCKET in the front; perfect for storing my 'something blue' and a few tissues for the day's emotions.
- Elegance and durability.
It's a timeless, elegant, and sturdy dress. The long train can be neatly bustled when you're ready to dance all night.
I had it altered for my height and my frame (I'm 5/2"; size 2-4). Also, made it a bit less plunging with some modesty lace/fabric added to the neckline.
The dress could use a good cleaning (has a few scuffs at the bottom), and a steam to remove wrinkles on the satin base.
